Mix and Match Colors
Mixing and matching various colors could be the most interesting aspect of coloring your home, at the same time confusing and perplexing with the wide range of choices available. - A smart way of creating a color scheme and the right ambience for your home is to first color a small board with the desired color and put together the ensemble of your rug, couch, and upholstery and see how it all looks together. If you think you need to change any of these or the color scheme itself, you can most easily do so. You could decide on –
- Is there anything that you’d want to later add on, a wall painting or a more personal picture frame?
- Does the fabric texture match with the color scheme of the room or could you use plain blinds.
- Is any of the ensemble creating a mismatch, are they complimenting each other enough.
- If you need to tone down the wall color or accentuate colors of the furnishings around.
- You could be more playful with the children’s room by using two or three complimentary colors on each of the walls adding an animated and lively touch to it. If the room is specifically for your little girl, you could paint it a lovely pink and encourage her to do up the walls by a mix and match of various other colors on the ensemble.
- Always think twice before actually mix and matching colors , you might end up with bizarre looking walls around you if you get hasty and always take a second opinion , you cant be right at all times.
- If your gut feel wants you to go ahead with more than three colors, you could as well do it , there is no hard and fast rule on creativity , you could be creating a fantastic mix and match revolution all on your own with your originality.
